SALT LAKE CITY, UT – A motorcycle rider lost his life following a crash with a pickup truck on Saturday evening, authorities confirmed.
The fatal accident occurred around 6:15 p.m. on March 1 near 1700 South State Street. Emergency crews arrived to find the motorcyclist in critical condition before rushing him to a nearby hospital, where he later succumbed to his injuries.
In response to the crash, officials redirected southbound traffic on State Street at Kensington Avenue and diverted westbound traffic on 1700 South to northbound State Street.
This incident marks Salt Lake City’s second traffic-related fatality in 2025. Authorities have not yet provided additional details as the investigation remains ongoing.
