Snow fell all around little Timmy as Songbirds sang their songs through the morning, as the wind carried their beautiful symphonies of sounds across the frozen landscape. As frost formed on Tim’s eyelids, he sat back and took in the beautiful natural splendor of the snowy horizon. HE would appreciate the frozen splendor if he weren’t so afraid of what was to come. Tim approaches the wooden door of the house standing before him, for this wasn’t just anyone’s house; it was HER house. He raises his mitten – clad fist and places three shaky but firm strikes against the hard, uneven grain of the front door. The door swung open immediately. Tim let out a slight gasp as he saw her standing before him. She looks perfect. Tim decided to cut to the chase: “D-do you think y-you’d want to go on a date on Friday?”, he asked. She responds, “Sure, I’d love to! What are we going to do?”. Her question takes him aback, as Tim wasn’t expecting such a question. He had given no thought to this part, Oh No! He hesitantly responds with, “Uh, I’m n-not sure, what would be fun?”. BAM! The door is slammed closed right in little Tim’s face.
The problem little Timmy faces here is similar to that of many Weber High students here at the school. What are some good winter date ideas? Let’s take a look at them.
First, you need to analyze who you are taking on a date and what they like to do. You are going to do the exact opposite of that, as nobody grows whilst within their comfort zone. If you are having trouble coming up with date ideas, here are a few: first, going to dinner and then a movie at your house is always a solid option. This date option is mainly for giving yourself a chance to “rizz” her up the whole night; the only issue is it might get boring, so this one might be better as a group date. Usually, if you are trying to make a movie, a movie is a good way to go; If you include a fun activity before it such as sledding, skiing, bowling, etc. before the movie, then you have a chance to get to know her, and then snuggle up together while you watch a movie by the warm, cozy fireplace.
These ideas are good and all, but the number one hands down greatest winter date idea would be playing Fortnite together. You can have her come over to play with you, and you could teach her how to play the game. Or if you didn’t feel like seeing her in person, you could just squad up online. That’s what is so great about it. You could even play some festival or, if you time it right, you could watch a live event with her. This date is especially good because you won’t have to give up Fortnite grind time to hang out with a girl; you could kill two birds with a stone and put the two together.
Now that we have listed a couple good ideas, let’s look at some date activities to avoid at all costs. First off, never go ice skating on a date. It might seem very cute and romantic, holding hands and stuff, but it can and will get boring very quickly. It is fun for maybe 15 minutes; after that, what are you going to do? Skate around and talk? That is extremely boring.
Secondly, movies at movie theaters are generally a bad idea. You can’t really talk to her during the movie, and if you’re trying to make a move, cuddling in movie theater seats is difficult as heck. You will be uncomfortable no matter what. You’re going to have arms and legs falling asleep the whole movie. Nobody wants that.
Lastly, stay away from looking at Christmas lights. It’s a boring idea in the first place, and it’s not a solid plan. You will just have to be talking the whole time, which is extremely boring. The only upside is that it has potential for you to make a move, but making a move takes up very little time of your date, so you will be bored the whole time.
In conclusion, you should take some of these ideas, grab some buddies and dates, and put them all together. The winter time is a good time to be around people you love, so go make some memories with some very special people.
