SALT LAKE CITY, Utah – The highly anticipated FanX Salt Lake Comic Con is set to return this September 25-27, bringing an impressive lineup of celebrity guests to fans in Utah. This week, organizers confirmed that Michael Rooker and Thomas Lennon will be part of the event, adding to the excitement.
Rooker, best known for his roles as Merle Dixon in The Walking Dead and Yondu in Guardians of the Galaxy, has an extensive filmography, including appearances in The Suicide Squad, Tombstone, Days of Thunder, and Cliffhanger. He also has a local connection to Utah, having played Sgt. Riordan in Kevin Costner’s Horizon, which was filmed in the state.
Returning to FanX after his last appearance in 2018, Rooker is known for his energetic stage presence, often engaging with the audience in fun and unexpected ways. His previous visit featured singing with fans, strolling through the crowd, and sharing behind-the-scenes stories about his most iconic roles.
Lennon, a fan-favorite in the comedy world, is recognized for portraying Lt. Jim Dangle in Reno 911!, along with notable roles in The Odd Couple, Santa Clarita Diet, I Love You, Man, and How to Lose a Guy in 10 Days.
According to Dan Farr, FanX founder and show producer, this year’s guest list is shaping up to be one of the best yet.
“Michael is a returning FanX guest and always a fan favorite, and Thomas has been one of our most requested guests. We’re thrilled to have them both join us this year,” Farr said.
