
OGDEN, Utah — The Ogden City Police Department has announced the passing of retired K9 Zekk on February 28.
Zekk, who served the department from 2015 to 2018, was a vital part of law enforcement efforts, being deployed over 500 times throughout his career. The department honored his dedication and service in a heartfelt social media tribute, highlighting his role in keeping the community safe.
“Zekk was more than just a K9 officer—he was a loyal partner, a guardian, and a symbol of bravery,” the post read. “His impact on public safety will never be forgotten, and we are deeply grateful for his years of service to Ogden.”
The department concluded its tribute by expressing appreciation for Zekk’s unwavering commitment. “Thank you, Zekk, for your service and devotion. Rest easy, good boy.”
