Price Shooting Linked to Domestic Violence: Three Injured in Incident

PRICE, Utah (ABC4) — A shooting incident in Price on Monday left three individuals injured, with authorities confirming it to be related to domestic violence.

According to the Price City Police Department, the shooting occurred at approximately 6:20 p.m. on February 17, when a woman was allegedly approached by her ex-boyfriend near the intersection of Carbon Avenue and Main Street. Authorities said the man fired multiple shots at the woman as she attempted to flee towards a nearby pharmacy.

The woman was struck at least once and was rushed to a local hospital with serious injuries. The male suspect was later found in a vehicle with what appeared to be a self-inflicted gunshot wound. He was transported to the hospital in critical condition.

A third person, who was trying to escape the scene, sustained non-life-threatening injuries, according to the police department.

Authorities also praised the quick actions of bystanders who assisted the woman while she fled and expressed gratitude to nearby agencies for their support during the investigation.

The incident is still under investigation, and no additional details have been shared at this time.
