Lakers Set to Acquire $84 Million Jazz Duo in Potential Trade: Predictions for 2025

To turn things around, the Lakers need to address key weaknesses in their roster. NBA Analysis Network suggests a trade with the Utah Jazz that could help solve two major problems: adding a scoring guard and a solid starting center.

LeBron James, who has subtly alluded to the team’s roster needs in recent statements, may find his wishes met with this proposed trade. It would involve sending Gabe Vincent, Max Christie, Jalen Hood-Schifino, and a 2031 first-round pick to Utah in exchange for Collin Sexton and Walker Kessler. Both players have the potential to provide the immediate impact the Lakers need.

Sexton, who has been a consistent scorer for the Jazz, is currently averaging 18.2 points per game, with a career-best 42.0% shooting from beyond the arc. While he still has room for growth in terms of his discipline, Sexton’s energy and scoring ability would be a valuable asset to the Lakers, where he could thrive as a third or fourth option alongside LeBron and Anthony Davis.
