
PROVO, Utah — Authorities in Provo are requesting assistance from the public as they investigate an armed robbery that occurred late Friday morning, targeting several juveniles in a residential neighborhood.
The Provo Police Department reported that the incident happened between 11 a.m. and noon near 500 North Independence Avenue. According to investigators, the juveniles were approached by suspects who brandished a firearm and robbed them at gunpoint.
Police have released images of a vehicle believed to be connected to the crime. The suspect car is described as a dark gray Chevrolet Malibu, likely a 2014 or 2015 model. Officials noted the car may have noticeable paint damage on the driver’s side near the front wheel.
Investigators believe at least two suspects were involved in the robbery. The individuals are described as young Hispanic adult males. At the time of the incident, both were wearing white shirts with sports jerseys, as seen in surveillance images shared by law enforcement.
