
SALT LAKE CITY – Authorities are offering a $20,000 reward for information that helps lead to the arrest and conviction of individuals involved in cattle theft across rural Utah.
The Duchesne County Sheriff’s Office announced that the Utah Department of Agriculture and Food (UDAF) has put up the reward in an effort to combat livestock-related crimes, which tend to increase during calving season.
Officials are calling on ranchers and rural residents to be extra vigilant and report any suspicious activity related to cattle theft.
“Livestock theft is a serious offense that directly impacts farmers and ranchers across Utah,” the sheriff’s office stated. “Community awareness and quick reporting can play a crucial role in catching those responsible.”
