
Authorities in Sandy, Utah, have arrested a man accused of stealing from a local convenience store and making a threatening remark to the store clerk.
Saul Diaz was taken into custody on Wednesday following an investigation into an incident that occurred on Monday at a store near 7800 South and 700 East.
According to Sandy City Police, Diaz allegedly purchased some items but concealed condoms in his pocket without paying. When confronted by the store employee, he reportedly suggested that he was armed, though no weapon was seen.
After Diaz exited the store, the clerk immediately contacted police. The Crime Suppression Unit of Sandy PD later tracked him down near 800 South and State, where he was arrested without incident.
