
SALT LAKE CITY — The Utah Jazz put an end to their 10-game losing streak in emphatic fashion Wednesday night, securing a 128-112 victory over the Washington Wizards at the Delta Center. The win marked Utah’s first triumph since February 28, helping the team avoid sinking to the bottom of the NBA standings.
Kyle Filipowski led the charge for the Jazz, delivering an efficient 21-point performance on 8-of-11 shooting. Keyonte George followed closely behind with 20 points, contributing to a well-rounded offensive effort that saw six Utah players reach double digits in scoring.
A pivotal moment came just before halftime when Brice Sensabaugh drained a three-pointer at the buzzer, giving Utah a 61-60 lead heading into the break. Sensabaugh finished the game with 17 points.
The Jazz took full control in the fourth quarter, unleashing a dominant 14-0 scoring run that stretched their lead to as many as 19 points. Collin Sexton added 18 points to the scoreboard, while rookie Isaiah Collier impressed with 16 points, six assists, and four steals. Jordan Clarkson also played a key role, chipping in 14 points.
Utah’s efficient shooting played a major factor in the win, as the team knocked down 56.2% of its field goal attempts and connected on 17-of-42 shots from beyond the arc (40.5%).
For Washington, Colby Jones provided a spark off the bench with 24 points, while Alex Sarr contributed 22 in the losing effort.
Now sitting at 16-54, the Jazz will look to build momentum when they take on the Boston Celtics at home on Friday night at 7:30 p.m .
