
PLEASANT VIEW, Utah – Authorities are investigating a fatal crash on Interstate 15 in northern Utah that claimed the life of a 64-year-old man on Thursday afternoon.
According to the Utah Highway Patrol (UHP), the collision occurred when a passenger vehicle rear-ended a semi-truck near Pleasant View. The impact proved fatal for one individual. Officials have not yet disclosed the cause of the crash or the identity of the victim.
Following the accident, the Utah Department of Transportation (UDOT) announced a closure of southbound I-15 at mile marker 350. Drivers were redirected to exit at 2700 North as emergency crews responded to the scene.
Lt. Cameron Roden, UHP’s public information officer, stated that investigators are still piecing together details of the crash. He estimated that the closure would remain in place for several hours as authorities work to clear the area and gather evidence.
