West Valley Police Shoot Suspect After Parents Found Dead
West Valley City , Utah – West Valley City Police responded to a tragic incident on Wednesday evening when they discovered the bodies of a couple in the 3300 block of Enterado Avenue. Investigators revealed that the couple’s adult son was suspected of murdering them.
The police arrived at the scene just after 5 p.m., where they found the deceased man and woman inside their home. Upon encountering the son, authorities said the situation escalated, and officers were forced to open fire, killing him.
A neighbor, who wished to remain anonymous, reported hearing police shouting, “drop the knife,” during the confrontation.

The following day, two sisters, Chasity Ulibarri and Charlene Evans, arrived at the home, unaware of the events that had unfolded. Ulibarri recalled a sense of unease as they attempted to enter the house and eventually made their way around the back and into the garage. “Something is wrong, something is wrong,” Ulibarri said, as they called out for their family members but received no response.
Ulibarri, who considered the couple’s father as her own father figure, had previously requested a welfare check on December 29. Authorities assured her at the time that everyone was fine. Ulibarri also shared that the son had struggled with mental health issues and had been released from prison on parole.
The police investigation is ongoing, but no further details have been released.
