
A tragic head-on collision near Eden claimed the life of a 72-year-old woman on Monday evening, according to the Weber County Sheriff’s Department (WCSD).
Authorities responded to the crash around 7:45 p.m. after receiving reports of a two-vehicle accident near mile marker three on Highway 158, about a mile southwest of Eden. When deputies arrived, they discovered two vehicles had collided head-on.
The crash involved a 31-year-old man and a 72-year-old woman, both Eden residents. While the cause of the collision remains under investigation, officials confirmed that the woman did not survive. The condition of the male driver has not been disclosed.
The woman’s identity has not been released as authorities work to notify her family. Investigators are continuing to gather details about the circumstances leading up to the crash.
